I’ve been seeing many a gadget blog buzz about the Hotelicopter today. I suppose this is one of those coolest gadgets that I can’t help but report about either.

The Hotelicopter is exactly what it sounds like: a hotel in a helicopter. It is a Mil V-12 prototype that was originally built in Russia in 1968. It looks like there was a sale after the cold war ended, and someone plans to give the Mil a 5-star hotel makeover with queen size beds, a mini-bar, and even add extra amenities like Wi-Fi.

The Popular Science magazine released a list called “Best of what’s new 2006” containing over 100 products and innovations, ranging from home entertainment to transportation and personal health. Below you will find three cool gadgets that appeared on the list. What a sidebar package. This ocean themed side package includes a clock, radio, stats, shutdown, email, recycle bin, network, cpu, feedreader, calendar and more. I love the blue colors and light feel to all the gadgets.

This is the ‘PSP God of War Mod’ and it’s for sale now on Ebay. The bidding, which kicked off at $50 is now up to $510 and there’s still five days to go. The amount of work that went into this is insane. Here’s just a summary:

The PSP console itself was airbrushed with a deep metallic bronze in an 18-step process and then strategically tarnished to create a battle-worn armor look (like the chest plate worn in the game!). The hand-sculpted war dogs and omega symbol that grace the back were copper leafed, antiqued, and heavily clear-coated. The real chains and edge trim that surround the system were also copper leafed and aged. The face buttons were custom-made after-market copper replacements and are TOP quality. Finally, truly one-of-a-kind crystal-clear RED shoulder buttons specifically made for this project flank each corner.

For God of War fans, PSP fans or those that appreciate something good being made a whole lot better, this is a one-off I wouldn’t mind bidding on - if I wasn’t already up to my neck in gadget-related debt.
