Facebook and its users are having a rough day. A serious Facebook virus is attacking the network’s users.
For the laymen:
If you receive a Facebook message (or a Facebook message alert in your email) with a questionable subject line, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN THE BODY!
All of the information in this post was garnered from an awesome article from news.com.au by Narelle Towie.
Questionable subject titles vary from “Maan, yyou’re great!” to “your ass looks not bad in this video”, “Some0ne thinks your special and has a *Hot_Crush* on you. Find out who it could be*” or a youtube link that says ‘”i can see yooooooooo”. These links disguise a trojan worm and should not be clicked.
This trojan comes just months after Facebook said it was working to protect its user from phishing scams.

Verizon Wireless and Google, two industry Goliaths that have seen each other as potential rivals, are discussing a partnership that would give Google’s search service a prominent spot on the screens of Verizon phones, according to people briefed on the talks.
The discussions are being spurred by the growing popularity of sophisticated devices like the iPhone that have simplified Web searching on mobile phones. New phones like those based on Google’s Android software, and models coming from Research in Motion and others, are likely to accelerate the trend.
Any partnership deal between the two is more than a month away, perhaps two, as the talks are in an early phase, said people apprised of those discussions. The companies are negotiating over how much information Google can retain about Verizon’s customers and their searches, according to these people. The two companies would share revenue from advertising that is tied to searches.

All widget explorers know the functionality and the purpose of widgets, but for those who don’t let me give an introductory line. Widget is an application that brings complex functionalities of different programs to your desktop or on web page. In simple words it can be a program bringing features of multiple programs at a single place.
The history of widget development and demand is not that old, but the speed with which it’s growing is quite high. Almost every social network and communities are widgetizing their platforms. In this sped up race of widget fever, it’s hard to find one that may best suit your requirement, but it’s great if you find them all on one place with brief description. For such here’s Widgets’ Encyclopedia, the Wigipedia, from where you can find about all widgets

This is the image I drew myself, but not on any desktop application! Yes, it’s been drawn on a web application. As searching for innovative web applications is one of my activities, this was something I found more interactive and most interesting of course. I happened to have some hard time on site as well, as I was not familiar with the controls, but it’s so simple that I got them quite quickly.
It’s Webcanvas, as interactive and live as it sounds from name! I used it as a guest, but I think the more options and saving facility is there for registered members. I”ve registered, and will find more interesting features of it later. But at the moment, I’ll recommend all the image lovers to experience this application. It may sound a bit complex for a moment but you’ll certainly love it!

This is a test post I’m writing not from wordpress, but from a third party web 2.0 application. Well this is just to try if it works or not. Let’s see how it does.
I’m not sure if it works for all type of blogging scripts, i.e. wordpress, blogger live journal etc, but this type of applications or services are damn good for bloggers who are often victims of domestic or international politics. Like wordpress banned in Turkey and blogger in Pakistan. Due to such happenings bloggers might have not been able to update their blogs, so I’m sure if they try accessing their blogs from such third party applications and keep their readers updated with what they write, it’ll be too good.
And now m’ gonna publish it!
Edit:
Yes, it’s working, and it works for all platform, blogger.com as well as blogger on your own domain, wordpress.com and wordpress on your domain and much more… It’s simply cool! Do try it!

Internet being the most easiest and cheapest way of communication still has a limited outreach, and this is a true fact of todays advanced web world. Internet is still not in the access of a huge number of third world population, but they do have access over mobile phones, even cell phone communication is quite expensive then that of web communication. This expanded outreach of mobile phones is not ultimate, but merely ultimate competitor of internet, since the mobile content industry is on the go to grow its roots deep in the social setups and life styles.
On the other hand, the machines that will probably be obsolete somewhere in far future or may be near future are none other than PCs. I said probably as m’ not very sure, but some of the services that I’ve observed, and some people in my circle experienced them as well say so! Let me tell you how it’s gonna bring change in status quo.
Fring, a mobile internet service & community, enabling users to talk, chat & interact with other fringsters and their online communities, from their mobile phones. You can experience various web facilities on your mobile.
MobiSeer is another Web2.0 service that allows you to organise, tag, share and manage your favourite .mobi mobile websites. Simple way to have all your mobile stuff within one site, too good! It also lets you to upload mobile websites for review, browse multiple mobile websites, create your own categories of favourites and organize etc.
Mozeo is what gives you individually or your group, or customer the power to receive and deliver information to the mobile phone. This works more in business like manner, but of course the purpose is to make things simple and easy!

If you’re on internet and don’t have a grown up social network, it means you’re really missing one of the most important use of technology. Well, that may also be wrong as everyone doesn’t like social networking, but being with people whom you love to talk to is really a great blessing. Social Networking doesn’t work for individuals only, but also for business professionals, especially the web biz pros.
Peoples’ search engine in this regard may be the best choice to search for people you like or share interests with you and or make your target market. I found one while browsing for the same, and it’s really a peoples’ search engine. In the about us page the company ensures you that 123people is a people search engine that looks into nearly every corner of the Web to help you find information on everyone you (want to) know. And for this you need to have a sign up of course. So sign it up and enjoy the filtered search for the people you really want to meet.
One thing that I found can be improved there is either to have blog in English or to provide the translation in English so that a huge number of users can be benefited out of it!

I was searching about the search engines especially when found a link and it took me somewhere, i found very pleasant to land at. It was of course a very attractive search engine, especially when you’re bored to see the old outlook. For a moment I thought it would be as effective as it’s design is. And it really returned me the filtered information about hotels and restaurants.
It was Circos, claims to have a mission is to let anyone find knowledge that’s on the Web quickly, easily, and accurately. Our search engine helps you find precisely what you’re looking for by tapping into what people are saying across the Internet.
It’ll no doubt be a great concern, but will have to work more more and more to become a really good search engine. It’ll have to include as many categories for search as possible.
And yes, it’s based on web 2.0 standards that makes it too unique among all other search engines. And the design and color scheme makes its outlook too good!
