Technical Drawbacks of Apple iPhone

The fruits of science in the shape of technology, inventions and discoveries have fast transformed our way of life. One of the foremost symbols of the march of science is telecommunication. Telecommunication is the assisted transmission of signals over a distance for the purpose of communication. In earlier time, this may have involved the use of smoke signals, drums, semaphore, and heliograph. In modern times, telecommunication typically involves the use of electronic transmitters such as mobiles, television, radio or computer.
Mobile’s plays very important role in our daily life. The mobile phone or cell phone is a long-range, portable electronic device used for mobile communication. There are different mobile’s companies, which include iPhone, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Sharp, Siemens, Verizon.

The iPhone is a multimedia and internet-enabled quadband GSM and marketed by Apple Inc. User input is accomplished via a multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons. The iPhone’s function includes those of a camera phone and a portable media player (“iPod”), in addition to text messaging and visual voicemail. It also offers Internet services including e-mail, web, browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity.

Every thing has some good features and also has some drawbacks. So it is the case with Apple iPhone. As we know that there is a lot of competition between the different mobile companies, because this customer want to buy that product which have very minute drawbacks. So Apple iPhone has to reduce its drawbacks in order to remain in the competition.

First out is the lack of office software. We will not say that iPhone give us Microsoft office in the iPhone, but may be a mobile version of iwork(with keynote and pages) and some spread sheet software. Apple’s tradition of non-removable battery continues with the iPhone. But non-removable battery is definitely not perfect because if our phone’s freezes, then it will create a problem for us, as removing the battery is the only option to get started again. Smartphones are phones to such problems and as we start filling up the on board memory the chances of the phone increase dramatically.

Apple did put all the latest stuff from the accelerometer to light sensors but they are still stick to a dated 2 Megapixel sensor when its rival the Nokia N95 sports a 5Megapixel camera. It is much obvious that when we have the slimmest smartphone with a huge touchscreen battery life is going to be a problem. 5hours of talktime is not the lowest in the class but it will still surely be a turn off for heavy users. As iPhone have EDGE AND Wi-Fi but adding UMTS or HSCSD would not hurt eithet. There is no expansion slot in Apple iPhone. 8GB is a lot of memory but sometimes we cant get enough of it as you want be deleting ‘Lost’ to accomodate some new movies this is when a memory card comes in a picture.
